DeviceOn’s license management system allows you to manage your own licenses. These licenses are used to activate and bind the number of devices that can be managed by the DeviceOn server. In this system, you can transfer licenses to other users. You can also freely split a single license into multiple licenses. For example, if you have 1 license for 100 devices, you can split this into 10 licenses for 10 devices each. The minimum unit is 1 device.
Additionally, you can bind multiple licenses to a single DeviceOn server.
The license system lets you manage licenses
Licenses activate and limit device connections
You can transfer licenses between users
You can split a license into smaller licenses
Smallest license is for 1 device
Supports binding multiple licenses to one server
If you or your sales team purchased DeviceOn software through SAP, SAP will automatically create the related account and licenses on the system. They will notify you by email. The email will contain your account, password, and the URL for the license server. The email also includes activation steps, such as:
To log into the DeviceOn License Management system, use the account credentials provided in your email from DeviceOn. Simply enter the pre-set username and password from the email to gain access to the license management portal.
If you don’t have an account yet, click on “Sign up” to create a new account. Enter your email and choose a password to register.
The system will send you a confirmation email. After receiving the email, be sure to click the confirmation link within the designated time frame. This verification step is important to activate your new account.
Once you get the confirmation email, click on the “Verify My Registration” link inside. This will take you to the verification page.
If you forgot your password, no problem! On the login page, click “Forget Password?” and enter your email address. This will trigger a password reset. Your new temporary password will be sent to your email inbox. Once you receive the email with the new password, log into your account and change it right away.
Once logged into your account, you can change your password easily. In the top right corner, click on your profile icon and select “Change Password.” Enter your current password first. Then type your new desired password and click confirm.
To log out of your account, simply click on your profile icon in the top right corner again and select “Sign out.”
After logging into your account, if you have been assigned any license items, they will appear under the “Available” tab. This tab shows unused, unbound licenses that are available to you.
If your account has licenses, you will see them here after logging in, ready to be activated.
